Azabs are poorly trained and equipped infantry. Recruited from townsfolk and peasants on a principle similar to the Polish Chimney Infantry (1 recruit from every 20-30 houses) that are used for manning less important frontier fortresses. As an irregular formation their weapons were diverse: bows, swords, halberds and shields; firearms, if present, were of poor quality.

Blister contains 4 bases of Azabs armed with halberds, which could be used in Ottoman Skirmish Forces and Divisions.
