TGR712: Fallschirmjäger Zug

The Fallschirmjäger Zug (Paratrooper Platoon) are the elite light-infantry of the Bundeswehr. Trained to operate in any terrain, this agile force utilises air-mobility to rapidly manoeuvre throughout the battlespace. They deploy slightly larger platoons than their comrades in the Panzergrenadier forces. However, to reduce equipment weight, they employ fewer MG3s and only bring a single Milan tube per Zug. This is not to say that they are lacking in firepower, as they are also equipped with Panzerfaust 44s and 40mm grenade launchers. 

Heimatschutz Jäger riflemen are the last line of defence, defending their own homes from the red threat. These older and wiser troops know their battleground intimately, even if their reflexes are not what they used to be. Using the same weapons as their conscripted sons, they will hold up the enemy while the more mobile and powerful units of the Bundeswehr come to their rescue. With a Milan missile, G3 Assault Rifles, Panzerfaust 44s and MG3 GPMGs, they are well equipped as “sharpshooters” as a regional force to hold the hordes of enemy forces swarming west.

Gebirgsjäger, or mountain infantry, are elite specialists in alpine warfare. They are able to cope with combat in the toughest and most difficult terrain. The mountain infantry are well-equipped with MG3 machine-guns, G3 battle rifles, and Panzerfaust 44 short range anti-tank weapons. For additional firepower against enemy tanks they can deploy the Milan anti-tank guided missile system.

This Fallschirmjäger Zug can be used to make a Fallschirmjäger Zug, a Heimatschutz Jäger Zug, or a Gebirgsjäger Zug Unit.
