Gladiator fights have long been one of the most popular and dangerous forms of entertainment. Carried out most of the time by slaves, they can be fights of man against man, of man against beast, of two small groups that face each other or great combats of all against all. Because of this, a ring fighter must be prepared for anything despite his lack of formal training and the rudimentary accoutrements he is given.
